The last novel "Arthas: The Rise oif the Lich King" explains that Sylvanas was able to recover her body because Arthas enjoyed tormenting her, and he kept her body in an iron casket... when Arthas started losing his power and had to run away from Lordaeron, She broke free and recovered it.
