If I recall correctly, for a time in early TBC the last quest of the Gorefiend chain was actually very difficult and (IMO) more commensurate with the gravity of the lore event involved. Then they decreased the cooldown time of every ability by half. WoWHead seems to indicate that the encounter has been buffed slightly since then, but still easier than it started out.
