I doubt the quest line will have anything at all to do with your character becoming a death knight. It'll most likly be more, freeing the deathknights of their binding to arthas, and when complete, you can roll a DK.

For horde side, i can see it being a very easy and obvious quest chain to make, where sylvanis learns about death knights, discovers they're binding to arthas is similar to her binding before she broke free, discovers a way to break it, and then breaks it, of corse, you do most of this, with her just telling you how to. once you'd completed it and released the death knights from their bond you can then roll a death knight. Of corse, once they're free of their binding, they would naturally go back to the faction they were origonally. I dunno how alliance could do it though, they're pretty clueless about the undead and the nature of their binding. Maybe a diguised messenger of sylvanis could give the quest in a neutral town to allie and horde.

Regardless its way to early to talk about this stuff, its still a good 12-18 months out.
