Actually, a slight correction or three.

First, its easy for Americans to forget that Canada has a history...of coming to Washington and burning down your White House in 1812. :P

Second, the four death knight bosses in Naxx can easilly be looked at as not so evil, since if you get corrupted Ashbringer from them you can see some fun where you watch one of them smack down the Scarlet Crusade, a good thing all around.

Finally, the video never actually shows the pally dying, just being surrounded by undead....then suddenly turning death knight and killing every undead in the area. Perhaps that is part of it, he was running from his failure to protect his friend earlier, gets caught, and realizes "Hey, this path isn't helping me as much as I needed it to!" and makes a pledge with dark powers to become a death knight to save himself and others he cares about (can we say Anakin?)
