I was already familiar with the lore around Maiev, but this was definitely still a worthwhile read. Very amusingly written.

And @17, you're somewhat right but I read a very well-put comment on this once on thottbot of all places- Illidan is a very complex, morally ambiguous character, and for that you have to give the writers credit. However, in-game, things have to be pretty much sorted into two categories (Stuff We Kill, and Stuff We Don't Kill). Which is why he's now being portrayed as more of a bad guy than he really is.
