My theory? If the above theory (he does not want to die, using his power, etc.) is correct, then he too will become a raid boss, and when you kill him he will say something about how he knew it would happen like this and then Anachronos will live on to lead the Bronze Dragonflight.
Makes sense to me. It would explain Anachronos' reason for being there.

Yep. I imagine if/when we kill him, that'll be what Aman'Thul showed him to begin with.

Of course Aman'thul could have just as easily shown him what would happen if he were to overextend his power and played a twisted mind game to assure that Nozy here wouldn't push it.

Ehh, more interesting if he isn't trying to cheat his death. Instead he knows he WILL die so he has to train his heir. Hence he created the infinite dragonflight and setup all these problems for his heir to solve. Perhaps he's eventually killed by heroes in a raid. Why? Because that's how he saw he would die and after looking at the other possibilities, it was by far the least disastrous way to the timeline/world) for him to go down.
Anyhow, I sincerely hope they do something much more interesting than "qq, I no wants to die"
