In War of the Ancients, when Nozdormu studies the Well and almost gets trapped, it is also revealed he knows his own end, when and how it will be. It also is said in way wich implies he cannot prevent it, it will happen no matter what (english is not my native language, so I may have understood it diffently as author intended).

I thought WOA is part of Warcraft timeline, this is the first site I read about "what if" scenario.
