I've always liked tha Barrens personally; my main is a Tauren and though by now I've done most of the quests far too often on my alts and such, I still feel at home there. I actually only did the Bael Modan quests recently but I have to say that they're a good series of quests. The Tauren aren't complete pacifists and the Dwarves aren't wholly good and though there are other later examples of this (though less on the Dwarven front) these quests are a nice early example.

As a sidenote Barrens Chat always picks me up when I'm down, but the quality of the inanity seems to have fallen lately.
