Bolvar can be quite bad-bottom, so to speak, but he's no real match for Saurfang. Perhaps our old King Varian will turn out to be the answer to the mighty Saurfang.

Varian is shaping up to be extremely cool. Bolvar only gets better in Wrath, where he plays a key role in Dragonblight, both in Wintergarde and the Wrathgate.
Varian, though, even the statue of him that's been built in Valiance Keep is badass. I can very much see him and Thrall being (awesomely) antagonistic forces, as Varian's story since his kidnapping has effectively mirrored the story of Thrall's youth, just swap Orcs for Humans in every instance and there you go.
I hope he's there for the 3.0 world event. He could tear shit up with the best of them.

If that's true about Varian then the escalation between Orcs/Humans you're suggesting would be unlikely. Thrall's background with the humans while growing up led him to become a diplomat and a human sympathizer, however unwise. His experience proffered the ideal that Humans and Orcs needed to cooperate if they were ever going to stop warring and get along -- if Varian and Thrall's experiences were similar, he may come to a similar conclusion

The difference being Varian was enslaved by orcs as an adult, as a King, and Thrall's opinion of Humans was only softened by his friendship with Taretha, Varian has no such contrast.
Also, Thrall has worked with Jaina in battle, Varian was enslaved and forced to fight others to the death in Orgrimmar. Think he might hold a grudge?
