Hate to tell you, but this is pretty much how Blizzard lore is...

Muradin has Frostmourne stuck through his chest in WC3.
Now in Wrath "O HAI GUYZ!!! It was just a scratch. Merely a flesh wound."

Same game, Mal'Ganis gets Frostmourne stuck in his gut.
Now in Wrath, "O HAI GUYZ!!!! Oh yea, I've been in this Admiral's body for a bit. Oh that? just a scratch."

Illidan gets Frostmourne stuck in him.
BC: "O HAI GUYZ!!!!..."

WIth all that, I was really disappointed in Saurfang junior. By all the lore sources he should have been in ICC, totally okay. "O HAI GUYZ!!!"

By the way, if you play Horde you find out that new plague reduces human or undead alike to slime. No body, no survival, just goo. We see Bolvar hit with it. Then DRAGONS BREATHE FIRE ON HIM! Walk into ICC...
"O HAI GUYZ!!!"

They play with lore all the time, don't worry about it too much.
