I swear I just read another Lore segment on here that said the dragon lineage was Galakrond -> proto-drakes -> created aspects. I thought this made more sense, and went along with what I had always gathered. I never considered Galakrond to be a proto-drake simply because of his size. I also never considered the 5 aspects to simply be his children due to not being similar in size. I thought the proto-drakes were descendants who had simply changed due to heredity/evolution to the smaller proto-drakes. However, after I looked at the quest concerning Galakrond in Dragonblight it makes more sense that the Titan's created the 5 Aspects out of Galakrond himself.
In the quest it states, "... Galakrond - progenitor of dragonkind. It is from Galakrond that the Titans created the Aspects. Imagine, then, the power of Galakrond. His size alone was greater than all of the Aspects combined!"
If he was the sire of the Aspects I think the wording would be different. Plus if they were his immediate descendants why would the Aspects not be similar in size, if all 5 Aspects combined do not equal his size that means something fishy is happening in the genes.
