Awesome article as usual!! I'm really hoping C'thun and the Aqir make a comeback when Cataclysm drops or one of the patch updates. I've always been an H.P. Lovecraft fan and recognized the parallel between C'thun and Cthulu immediately then read it was what inspired Blizzard.

To anyone who's read Lovecraft's Call of Cthulu it makes sense that C'thun would make will probably show up in Cataclysm. Call of Cthulu involves small pockets of a "cult that never died" spread across the world who worship the Old Ones. "Some day [Cthulu] would call, when the stars were ready, and the secret cult would always be waiting to liberate him." With Lovecraft the emergence of the Old Ones is often brought about by some form of (un)natural cataclysm. Pun intended. :)
