Around Azeroth: A knife in the back

Around Azeroth A knife in the back TUESDAY
An all-rogue guild seems like something of a disaster waiting to happen, but Vile Thorn of Defias Brotherhood (US-H) makes it work ... with an admittedly high collateral damage toll. Submitter Arli sent in this screenshot demonstrating Vile Thorn's traditional method of showing guild pride. The guy who's currently dead with a guild banner sticking out of his back might not consider rogues so playful and mischievous, but who cares what he thinks?

Around Azeroth: Make like a tree and leave

Around Azeroth Make like a tree and leave MONDAY
"I'd just sent sent the new ancient to my girlfriend, Samhhainne, so it could play with my sapling," writes submitter Macrobunker of BitTaurent on Illidan (US-H). "They didn't get along at first, but when the new 'Old Man' finally decided to show affection in his own special way, I think my tree friend was more than a little surprised." Indeed, sudden floral explosions are terrifying, at least to people who are allergic to pollen ... or bees.

Around Azeroth: Slowly but surely

Around Azeroth Slowly but surely SUNDAY
"On March 14, I and four other guildies (Sycofant, Maridian, Pierogimon and Beaufort) decided to try for Challenge Modes once a week," writes submitter Sympson of Perfect Insanity on Nazgrel (US-H). "Today we finally completed all of the Challenge Modes on silver and got our Pandaren Phoenix mounts! We were all very excited to have finally accomplished our goal Our guild isn't very hardcore and we're only scheduled to begin Throne of Thunder this week after having cleared Terrace of Endless Spring last week, but that doesn't mean we're bad players! We're just pretty casual about it, which is part of why we're so happy to have finished the silver medals."

Around Azeroth: When the Horde gets bored

Around Azeroth When the Horde gets bored SATURDAY
What do you do when you're all ready for PvP but your opponents never show up? Just hang around, make campfires in the rain and construct spotlights, I suppose. "Here are five of us anxiously awaiting our mortal foes from the Alliance in Tol Barad," writes submitter Healfdene of alea iacta est salus on Earthen Ring (US-H). "We feel like a bride left at the altar on the day of her wedding. We came to fight, but instead we wait. Perhaps someday, the Alliance shall return to fight."

Around Azeroth: We've been having fun all summer long

Around Azeroth We've been having fun all summer long FRIDAY
Goblins might be a race of ugly little green people with giant hands and horrifying taste in decor, but you've got to admire their self-confidence. These beach-partying gobbos aren't ashamed to strut their stuff and dance around in their bathing suits. Admittedly, whatever sort of liquor is in those bottles on the right might be helping them lose their inhibitions. Sober people don't usually stay at the beach during a rainstorm. (Thanks to submitter Arugadh of The Brotherhood of Iron on Wyrmrest Accord [US-A] for the screenshot!)

Around Azeroth: I'll be doggone

Around Azeroth I'll be doggone THURSDAY
Listen, little dudes. You saved me when I was freezing to death in Kun-Lai, burying me in a pile of fuzzy bodies and adopting me into your pack, and I'll always be grateful for that. But it's time for us to part ways. Sure, we've had a good run of it, and you've certainly helped by out by paralyzing trolls with your adorableness. But I just don't earn enough gold to buy six pugs food and water and designer leashes and adorable little rhinestone collars for your itty-bitty pudgy necksies ... oh, damn it. You can stay. But I'm not making any more elite dragon pâté. (Thanks to submitter Casalilly of Dark Steel Knights on Fizzcrank [US-H] for the screenshot!)

Around Azeroth: Axe me no questions

Around Azeroth Axe me no questions WEDNESDAY
Karazhan is a pretty dull place nowadays. They used to welcome thousands of guests a week, and now they're lucky to see a few dozen warriors. So the bosses have decided to mix up their battle tactics when a group does come around. "To this day I still have no idea what made Shade of Aran want to wield an axe instead of his trusty cane," writes submitter Colter. "Perhaps Karazhan just required more lumber."

Around Azeroth: A truly hot tub

Around Azeroth A truly hot tub TUESDAY
Boiled clams, anyone? Submitter Eostre of Dark Steel Knights on Fizzcrank (US-H) really needed to get clean, so she pulled out her Gokk'lok's Shell for a quick portable bath. Sadly, she didn't look closely at where she was setting it up. The boiling water was hot enough to melt the very flesh off her bones! Wait, she was like that already? Never mind then. It probably just gave her a nice crispy bacon flavor.

Around Azeroth: You can leave your hat on

Around Azeroth You can leave your hat on MONDAY
Some elves might like expensive apparel, silk dresses and gold jewelry. But submitter Sayuribee of Winterhoof (US-H) prefers a more unique style. Like what you'd get if you fell into a construction site dumpster with glue on your head and shoulders. Sporting a combination of a Darkmoon Top Hat and some transmogrified Brittle Flamereaver Pauldrons, Sayuribee has compensated for the lack of player housing by carrying her junk drawer on her outfit. Just keep those lit fireworks away from the wooden shoulderpads!

Around Azeroth Brothers from another mother SUNDAY
Submitter Sheehun of No Reprieve on my old server Magtheridon (US-A) used the Glyph of Disguise to transform himself into a mogu gentleman. While hanging around in disguise on the Isle of Thunder, he happened to sit next to a draenei NPC and noticed a few similarities in their poses. Are the mogu and draenei animations simply based on the same model? Or does Sheehun need to slip the draenei a card with the number for The Maury Povich Show?

Around Azeroth All my friends know the low rider SATURDAY
"No one's quite sure how or why the Darkmoon Faire carousel ride seats disappeared," writes submitter Actorious of Disciples of Beer on Perenolde (US-A). "But that didn't stop me from getting my daily dose of Wheee! Although if the new rule is BYOM (Bring Your Own Mount), shouldn't the price of admission be reduced?" I suspect drunken carnies ... and forthcoming lawsuits.

Around Azeroth: Let's go surfing now, everybody's learning now

Around Azeroth Let's go surfing now, everybody's learning now FRIDAY
Submitter Pancàkes of Hello Kitty Adventures on Whisperwind (US-A) was participating in the new Battle on the High Seas scenario when he spotted a pirate engaged in some less than martial activities. With all the ships being used for battles and supply transports, this buccaneer has had to harness some local turtle for his water-skiing needs. Well, it's slow, but it works ... or at least it works until the turtles realize that they can dive.

Around Azeroth: Tourist trap

Around Azeroth Tourist trap THURSDAY
Hi, folks. I understand that you've traveled from far away just to meditate here at the Arboretum, and I truly hate to interrupt your moment of serenity. But as you can see, I'm being stung to death by an enormous wasp. Could you possibly toss me a heal or some antivenom, seeing as I'm keeping this monster from tearing you to pieces? No? You're just going to yawn and sit there? Understandable. I'll be dying then. (Thanks to submitter Quadraxis of Cursed on Drenden [US-A] for the screenshot!)

Around Azeroth Not everybody poops WEDNESDAY
"Heilandcoo of Deathtacular on Llane (US-H) paid a visit to the Strongarm Airstrip in northern Pandaria and encountered this chap with a small problem," writes today's submitter. "He seemed to be struggling mightily to gain entry to the, um, loo. At first Heilandcoo thought that maybe he was having problems with a stuck door. Then it dawned on her. No wonder Alliance fight so savagely. If they survive, the reward is a trip to some place where the outhouse comes with a door."

Around Azeroth: Are you my new mommy?

Around Azeroth Are you my new mommy TUESDAY
Even in the midst of war, revolution and generalized turmoil, there is one constant in this universe: people will go "awww" at tiny creatures with big sad eyes. Goblin warrior Zealality of Delirium Trigger on Area 52 (US-A) was on her way to bash in some skulls with her enormous sword and hammer when she came upon this little moonkin hatchling and just had to stop and make sure it was all right. Then the moonkin did a tiny adorable Starfire and killed Zealality in a very cute way. Squee!
